Project X – The Full Video
In my presentation at the Autodesk University Plant Keynote on December 1st in Las Vegas, I explained how a group of davetyner.com members called “The Krusty Krew” came together to create this monster in just 15 days. The keynote audience seemed very into it as I took them through each step leading up to the project before showing them the video below.
Thanks to Autodesk for the opportunity to execute this project. Huge thanks to Eileen and the rest of the Plant team for pulling off the administrative “tripple lindy” in support of this effort. It was no small feat to cram all of this work into what amounted to *edited* of working in our “spare” time. Much like a real project, we were 3 weeks behind before we started, lost some key people, and sacrificed a week in the middle. Yet we somehow managed to pull it off thanks to a herculean effort (hence-forth known as “The Surge”) by you guys this weekend. Thanks Brian and Joel for helping to manage it and crank out the work. Thanks Aaron for your great effort and awesome documentation along the way. Thanks to everyone who participated, you each added a different perspective to the project. OK, but you see what I mean. Thanks and GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
I was/am honored to work with such a fine group of people. They are not only fantastic designers but amazing friends as well.

Hi Samuel. I never got permission to use the soundtrack. Most times, YouTube will let you use whatever music you want as long as it’s not some kind of advert. In my case it was to showcase Project X so it wasn’t a problem.
