Does anyone have any experience they could share with respect to the ins and outs of PW. We are considering setting it up in our office but I have heard nightmare stories of Admin Hell with respect to PW. Has it improved?

Any opinions are welcome

Yes it has improved including the integration to AutoPLANT. It does require some pretty intense front-end setup before deployment to make sure you consider what parts of PW you wish to utilize. The AutoPLANT Integration isn't perfect yet, but with a few minor tweaks it runs very stable(at least on SELECT series 2 that I am running). You will have a minor headache if you are planning a deployment with all the desktops already in production if you are intending to use it in PW Enabled AutoPLANT mode.... The ProjectWise Client has to be installed prior to AutoPLANT apps for the desktops. There might also be a small issue with PW and Office 2010 x64, but I'm not positive.

We have 2 production projects here running and I'm only having issues with users not knowing AP. We are not using the file state tracking yet.

thanks Ed, that is good info. I had mentioned to our set up guy to be sure to add the Client to the image but like a good IT person he didn't listen so yes that will be a problem for us, but that can be easily fixed. Appreciate the heads up.
