Define piping elements as existing only one by one?

I need to change the piping information to existing on a lot of lines, but it seems like i only have the option to edit each object one by one.

Update components doesn't contain this option, does anybody know of another way?

I found the solution in the help files. You need to add the field "existing" to "update components" via "setup > component update preferences"
