One of my co-workers found this command that will control the "Pipe Settings" window that appears when a new line is being input by the users. this is the box that dictates size and paint and nominal Operating Temps along with a gazillion other useless pieces of info. This box can be amended to have only the items you want filled in from the users to limit the amount of time they take.
at the command line in Aplant type "PIPEDIALOGCRITERIA"
When you change this it writes to a file on your C:\Program Files\Bentley\Plant 2004\P&ID\PIDPipeSet.ini
You then would have to push it out to your users, however you have that set up. We run a .bat routine that covers this.
