Please see this picture:(http://www.plantsoft.com/download/image.rar).When I preview a report in the Datamanager application ,I got this error.The error is "Openreport operation is canceled".It happened in the all of projects on my machine.Could you please give me some advice?

Two rules with data manager and funny errors.

1. Close data manager and re-open
2. Reboot computer

If those two don't work you probably have a legitimate problem. Does this happen in all your reports or just one? Do you know how to set up your reports to work with the DM views?

It happened in all my reports.Could you please give me some instructions on setting up reports with DM views?

Well my friend I am a single dad with two kids to take care of in the evenings so I am away from the keyboard a-lot after 5-6 Pacific Standard Time. If you would like to speak with me about consulting to your company for project setup you can send me a private message and we can talk about that in greater detail.

In the meantime, If I were in your shoes this is what I would do:

1 Create a new project from base. This takes all of 5 - 10 minutes.
2. Create a new P&ID drawing and input some data, a couple lines..whatever.
3. Go into DM and run a report from the default reports provided.

If you do all THIS and have problems, all I can think is you have a bad install. IF your custom reports are erroring out on you then it is probably something you're doing and should procede with caution. I will try to get back a little later with more suggestions.

Can you tell me if you're running a MSDE, SQL, or Access DB?
I believe you told me you're running AutoCAD 2004 with AutoPlant 8.6 correct?

Also, can you tell me if and how you resolved your valve not breaking the polyline issue? I talked to the support guy and he said he had your SR. Did you decide to go with my suggestion of plotting the colors thicker?
