Hi All,
Could explain me anyone the meaning of the rights in PlantLife Vision or in the Project Administrator, please?.
For example, when you select File > Configure Users, you access to the menu User Configuration. If you go to the Advanced tab, you can chose beteween several options. You have options like Designers or Draftsman.
Could you tell me anyone which is the difference between these two options, please?.
What can I do or what cannot I do if I chose for example the option Designers?.
Could you help me, please?.
Regards.
At my company, we haven't set up users yet. My thought by looking at the groups tab is:
Read only: read only
user: read/write
supervisor: read/write/delete
A while ago, I set up users users in the hopes that I could trace who placed what componoent when. Data manager doesn't track that kind of data so I just made everyone supervisor/supervisor =/
Also, I believe some people here set permissions in SQL to control users.

ok, but if you work with access project? how can i interdict user to not delete drawing in Document Manager which he dont creat? for example, i made user which can only read and login as this user!!! i can delete all drawing in project and go to another and delete there????
Yeah, each project has granular security (to a point). You have to set up permissions in each project. I think that is what you are asking?

What might be happening is that you have restricted the rights within the project, but the rights on the network/folder are overriding the programs rights. And allowing the user to delete when he should not be able to. This happened to a couple partial menu's I had created.

The rights in PlantLife Vision or in the Project Administrator are not very useful. It can not ensure the drawings safety,Because the project root must be share in network. So the folders and files are complete exposure to any people. It is good method is select projectwise, which's function very useful.
