I dont know if calling it a refresh rate would be the right choice of words, but here is what's going on.

I run the line list, see a few errors on the line list that I need to correct. So I go back into the P&ID and correct the line. Now I reopen the Data Manager and generate the report... no change.. :?

Is there something I can do to have the database recheck what it is displaying?

I guess in Data Manager ---> Tools ---> Database Tools --> check all Database Objects and update if necessary?

Did you save the P&ID? That's when the database gets updated...

Yeah I saved it. For some reason my computer loves to throw me curveballs in the mornings.... <sigh>

The database is not updated when saving the drawing, that happens directly when pressing OK in the CATT dialogs (or updating data in another way). If you don't save the drawing, the changes are undone.
Only deleted objects are deleted from the database when the drawing is saved (this is because of the B(ack)-command, and also allows to re-use the data of a deleted object on a new symbol)

Data in the data manager views is not refreshed on a time-basis, only when re-sorting or re-opening the list, or after editing some object through the properties window, or pressing the handy refresh-button ...

The data that is stored in the xdata in the drawing itself is just for backup, all data in CATT-dialogs comes direct from the database. The expanded xdata is an aadition fromsome later version, it wasn't there in version 12.5 (first AutoPLANT release with common database, I started using it even before that, in version 11)
