Tool Palettes

Has anyone tried creating a tool palette for the 3D piping tools? I had no problem creating one, it just that it only worked for the session i created it in. Saved the palette and closed ACAD. Opened it back up and bam!, the stupid ? cloud icons.

Do your palettes come up with or without PIPING loaded?

I had trouble with the UOP_DESIGNER one (see attach file) at first with XM like you. Cloud Icons would show up on some of them.

I should of mention that this toolbar (mnu file) was imported from the AP 2004.

Did you import the Palette from an earlier version?

no it was not imported from 2004. Also i am not trying to create a toolbar, i was wanting to use the palette. I should mention this was tested on 2006 but we are moving to 2008 and XM.

It's in 2004 and up but it is easier to customize in 2006 and up.

Just checking to see if anyone out there is trying to create a tool palette that uses AutoPLANT items. Still having issues trying to get it to work, by this i mean not changing the icons to the ? cloud. I believe it is because AutoPLANT stuff are partial CUI's. Any thoughts?

I have created some for use with both Piping and Equipment. I ran into the same problem with the pictures disappearing when you restarted AutoCAD. The only workaround was very time consuming and involved creating custom icons.
