Is there a way to add a User Equipment Tag Type and assign a different attribute block to it?

Yes there is. Did you look around in the documentation? It's a little involved for a post, but if you have an Admin manual it would be one of the exercises.

I guess it is my terminology. I see how to add a Tag Type but I want to add a different type of Equipment Tag that you select for User Equipment. Vessel Tag uses xde_siz as its attribute block. I would like to create Vessel1 Tag and have it use xde_blr (that I created) as its attribute block. Is there a way to do that?

Hello leader of bears,
Use the sett command to open the setting database. Here you can copy the symbol you want to change, for instance DRUM. In your new created symbol you'll find in the attribute block name "xde_siz" change this to the block you need. Testing the new block can be done by (sett "<new block name>" "A") followed by the func command.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, yes, I know how to do that. In fact, that is my work around for what I really want to accomplish. Below are the steps that will get you to the functionality in AutoPLANT P&ID that I am asking about.
Select P&ID from the menu. Select Equipment from the drop down. Select User Equipment. Select Ok. How do I add an "Available Eqiupment Types"? Notice the mispelling in the VB dialog box.

For one of my clients I modifed the user equipment to allow for other textblocks. I don't remember exact who, so I need to check a few dozen customization environments. I'll try to get you an answer tomorrow.
