great post wrangler. Does Siemens currently make/have a hand in any design software?

Oh yea. Solid Edge is now owned by Siemens, as well as the PLM software Teamcenter (works with things like Catia, etc.). They also have NX, which I think is their high end 3D software.

If you are an I&C kind of person you know that they have a lot of Process control software for things like DCSs, etc. so this seems like a good fit.
