What would be great is if when a intelligent piece of data changes when opening a drawing, the change would be color coded (like the wagon wheel for broken links) If a reducer lost it's link, line number detaches itself, arrow loses it's link...etc. Would save on some explanation about "why it is that that happens sometimes". Maybe one of our lisp gurus could look at that :):D

als try this : typ FFM on the command line, it wil open a dialog that allows to configure a 'field display manager'. Based on the content of fields, you can hide or color code stuff on the drawing. This comes without much info at this moment, since it's included for testing.

Along the same line I would like to see a colour change or something within various Views in DM when engineers change any of the data for the Line Designation Table. This would allow for fewer "checks" against the LDT prior to issue and easier tracking of changes. this is simular to Dave's wish except Database driven rather than on a Drawing

Great information, thanks Peter! When can we expect to see XM hit the shelves?

I've develloped something like that in the past. See the attached pdf (it dates from the time before I joined Bentley, I was working for a reseller-company) for some info.
This is something that we deliver as a paid service towards clients.

Brian, I have a datasheet utility I made here at home that checks an excel spreadsheet for changes from the last version and marks that cell with a red background. Nothing for the DB though I am sure it is well within the realm of possibility.
