When bringing in a reducer for instance, I would like the reducer and reducer text (block "xdhv") to insert itself on a layer called "reducer - psv" same with line services, instruments tags, etc. Would make quick work of checking links. Just talking out loud. :)

We have a policy of placing all of our instruments associated with a piece of equipment on a P&ID, even though they may not need to show up on a client deliverable. We do this by changing the layer of the instruments that do not need to be shown to a 'hide' layer.

Maybe this could be turned into a 'visible' or 'not visible' option when placing objects on a P&ID.
