Good Day,

I am trying to create a new component and getting an error. Below are the steps and the error message. Any help would be great.

1. Created a copy of PID1.dwg and renamed it PID99.dwg.
2. Copied the new component to a box.
3. Clicked chg/set name and named the component.
4. Clicked block from block manager menu, clicked inside box of new component and got an unhandled exception error.

Error: Unhandled Exception C0000005 (Access Violation Reading 0x0000)
at address 0h

Thanks!

Did you try to create a new block in the origianl PID1?

Do you receive the same error in that Drawing?

that would be my exact question as well Tom. Why did you not just use the orig PID1.dwg. what is the reason for creating the copy?

did you switch on the slide creation ? That causes this error in XM

I followed the directions found on a example sheet in the sym folder. The slide creation is on and in it creates the dwg file even thought there is an error. I haven't checked the slb file to see if a slide was created. I will keep you updated.

Thanks.
