i cant understand your issue clearly. Can u pl elaborate ..
In Explorer or Explorer/ID after you open it ...at the top there is a 'HELP' listed on the far right....
Pick that and go to 'Help Topics'
If you read through this (or print out and use as reference) this will help.
Also in Section 9 of the AutoPLANT Piping Tutorial on pages 9-20 through 9-22 there is more help.
Also if you sit with the Explorer open on a simple model and just work with it (play in the model) with the 'Navigation Modes'...with the 'Lighting' modes and the 'Rendering' modes and see what workes best for you, especially in the lighting and rendering modes since the way I see it best may not be the way you see it best. On the Navigation, that is just practice ...sooooo...go for it...Have fun! and then you will find it coming easier and easier!

Explorer or Explorer/ID is a bundled but outdated version of NavisWorks. Yes, I would agree that navigation is all about feel and practice. It's like playing a video game, just get the feel for the mouse and walking thru.
NavisWorks will open approx 30+ differnet file types natively so, you should be able to go to file, open and select the .dwg files generated from AutoPlant.
If you or your company would like to get a full version of NavisWorks v5 please contact me via a private message or dave.simmons@s2solutions.biz. I can get you complete pricing and availability. Also, I have heard that sometime in the near future, Bentley will stop bundling NavisWorks with their AutoPlant suite and customers will go purchase it separately.
