Hi,
How can you place this box? By default it's placed down right, but I would like it down left.
I have tried very little with the *.pos file, but without success.

Bringing old thread back to life.

What .pos number controls the text width and height?

How can one modify this table?

Tom, you can edit the .pos file with any text editor. Just copy one of the lines and paste below. You will need to then know which number controls the weld summary box. That i don't know. Currently looking thru some books.

This is controlled by a .WLD (Weld Definition File)
I have a attached a document that will assist you in setting it up

Wiz,

Thanks for the Procedure.

Still can't seem to find the control for the Text Width and Height?

What about control on weld numbering from revision to revision?

Example we have welds 1-15 on a line and now we need to add some more fittings to this run of pipe. When we run another Iso, Isogen re-numbers all the welds instead of continuing on with the last weld number and placing it on the newly placed fittings.

FYI,
I also submitted this to Bentley will let you know what I hear.

You have to create a WDF (weld definition file) and specify it in Project Administrator ..\project name\isogen\input\. The attached file shows how to do this (to control the weld summary).Same as what Wiz posted above.

Second, to control weld ID's, you must assign them in AutoPLANT Piping from the menu pick: Piping > Piping Tools > Assign WeldIDs.I was not aware of this tool.

with regards to preserving the weld count...it is also helpful to setup a project object = IsoSheet to control the isogen split points. this way we can easily preserve existing weld id's and consistently control where isogen splits as revisions to the design evolve...see IsoSheet threads

Packin31,

You would need to use the 'Style 3' type of set-up for the Weld Summary, this allows the setting of Text Height
The width is not as easy .. I have a couple of ideas on this I will try, and let you know if I find a solution ( do you happen to use user fonts in your Isogen set-up ?? )

Bentley's answer Re: Weld No's is the way we do it

PS .. good work on getting a Bentley answer so quick, might have to send my questions via you in future :)

We don't use weld definiition files, but if you add the line:
TEXT-WIDTH-FACTOR 100

to your style 3 controls on your .mld you can control the width in the isometric material list. Maybe the same thing works for the weld definition file.
