p&id has the Mulitiline text mode?
now my annotation of pipeline is too long, i want to let part of it over the pipeline and the other below the pipeline. the pid-sup.lsp uses the mktxt as function of text, i would like to know if it has the same function for the Mtext

There is no multi-text mode for the Line-annotations.
But you could use the Annotation tool to build a textblock that has multiple lines. You might need to edit the annotation in at.ini to have multiple values on one line.
Let me know if you need help on that

Where is this Annotation Tool?

Oh, it's a P&ID tool. Is there anyway to customize piping and equipment annotation tags for mechanical drawings?

you need to have a look at the annotate.ebs file. Depending on how you are set up you will find the out of box version here:

C:\Program Files\Bentley\Plant XM\modules\Base\piping\util

The annotate.ebs file seems to be geared for Piping annotation not Equipment annotation. Surely we are not the first to ask how to customize labels for our equipment layout drawings?

amazing how many times the question "Are we the first ones to do this?!?" is asked. :) Good luck, hopefully someone can chime in on this!

Dave, I take you don't have the answer either. So does every AutoPLANT user accept the default tags or manually edit their own blocks? Are there no customizable automated annotation examples available in AutoPLANT?

To be honest Firefly, I don't know. I left the world of Autoplant 3 years ago for the blissfull joy that is SmartPlant.

There are some dudes on this site that can answer your question, I will try and find them.

Many thanks. We wish we could afford SmartPlant... (p.s. what is your experience so far with SP3D?)

none! I am 100% SPPID admin at the moment. SPPID is everything that you would want in a P&ID package. You just gotta make sure you put it in the hands of competent users.
