The AutoPLANT Iso components look different than the IsoGen components. I was asked why they do not look the same and can we get the IsoGen to look like the AutoPLANT Iso.

Can that be done?

As far as I know, Isogen is what it is. The look has always been inferior to any regular iso package or traditional look but the construction industry is used to it now and everyone accepts that it may not be the best looking, but the data is there.

I doubt you will get it close even after modifying all your blocks in isogen. Isogen hasn't been really updated in years. why not skip the isometric package and model all your lines there. then just run isogen.

I am asking because we have some "old school board" group leads & designers who thinks that some jobs are not big enough to actually model the job. Which I can understand.

this is true. But it actually takes about the same amount of time by the time the iso is completed. We have the same situation here, were they want to use the isometric package for small projects. And they don't put coordinates on these small isos. so you could have one model with a bunch of small lines spread out and run your isos from it. Then run isogen.

but going back to your original question. I don't think you could get the same output from both programs. The Bom's could have the smae columns but not the same look. They are 2 different programs and act differently.
