Ok maybe I did a bone head thingy here. I renamed a file which is linked up to the project and now I have nodes all over the drawing.
Has anyone run into this?
Is there a fix?
Thanks

I could not figure out how to use Bentleys Knowledge Base so this is what I did to fix my problem. I exported all components out to a PXF file. Then deleted all components clean database and imported the PXF that I created earlier. So far it seems to be working.
I did not say this in my other post. I had a drawing with the same name as this one that I renamed. I bet that was another bone head thing I should have not done. Lesson learned is not to rename files with the same name as a previous file name.

I have used the .pxf function for this before with little to no errors. Hopefully it work out for you.

I have also used .PXF and it works fine. These nodes you speack of are large correct? Type PDMODE and change the size to zero.

Yes the PXF worked great. The only thing I found wrong was the gear actuators on butterfly valves came out in different orientations.
I try the PDMODE to make the points smaller but we have a point layer for reference nodes for place equipment, elevations etc.

another problem I just remembered was that eccentric reducers and some tees came in skewed and needed to be replaced. Might want to check around for these.

Thanks Aplant Monkey
Yes I notice that but only had to replace a few of them. Luckly I didn't have the whole model laid out yet.

Actually i have found the only way to fix the node issue is the pxfout ooption. On another note, those nodes can be created if the match properties command is used on Autoplant components. This is a bad command for Autoplant. I haven't seen renaming files to cause the nodes to appear. This is new to me. They may have already been in the drawing. One way to hide is to change the pdmode from 66 to 1. that will hide them.

Ahhhh yes I did. Now I think of it I should of used Document Manager to rename them Dahhhhh... Now I know not to use Explorer.

I would use "Project Object Maitenance Tool"

from my experience, renaming in exploer did not cause your nodes in space. they were all ready there. The rename just did a redraw for you and they appeared.
The only funtion i have seen to cause the nodes is the match properties command.
