View Full Version : Modifying Equipment and not affecting similar pieces

Ok I have a vessel with packing and I need to redefine how it's shown. Here is the problem i have though.
If I reference edit that vessel, then it will change all vessels and I don't want to change them all, just one. So refedit is out of the equation.

Explode would take away the intelligence... so that's out.

So how would I go about modifying 1 vessel without changing them all? I have no clue on this lol.

You can explode the piece of equipment, make the changes that you would like and then you could use 'Join Equipment' command. That can be found on your P&ID toolbar; P&ID -> Equipment -> Join Equipment. This will make it intelligent and you should be able to CATT it then.

Ahh good call, I tested it out and tried to reattach to the tag and that wouldnt work, so then i tried using the nozzles as the source object and that didnt work either. So let me know if you have other ideas.

assign it the same tag as before and when it asks you to create a link accept it as it is the same peice of equip.
