I have instelled Autoplant V8i with ACAD MEP 2008 and ACAD MEP 2009 (on two different computers)
From my point of view piping works fine but I have trouble putting nozzles on equipment (vessels). Usually program doesn't draw any nozzle on vessel, only some strange shape on position 0,0,0. For test purpose, I use MMetric and MCS600 spec. I also find this problem with other specs.
Does anybody have similar problem?

elovric,

Do you receive any error messages when you load equipment?
I had the same problem and found that my default spec was not set in Project Administrator

Packin31,

I didn't receive any errors while loading equipment module. I check default spec in project administrator and mmcs600 was set. I found this problem also on XM intallation.

Guess what I thought I had it figured out but now I am having this same issue with this one project. This is in XM.

This did work for me

The error is given when the COMP_LEN has been changed from a number to text. This doesn`t always happen and appears to be
random.
TR Number 13712
Product: AutoPLANT Piping V8i
Version: 08.11.05.36
Area: Spec/Catalog, Problem ID#: 37940, TROUBLEREPORT
Also See: SpecGen
Found this on Bentley's site. It worked for me.

Solution 500000064608

Long Description:

TR filed - 13712
Workaround -
Manually open the spec in Access. Then do a design view on the table. Next change all the fields that are incorrect to what
they need to be, use a working spec to compare it to. After making the modifications, close out Access and open the Spec in SpecGe
and rebuild the spec. This will help clean up any damage done to the spec from the changes. After the spec is built, test it out
in AutoPLANT.

We solved this problem by setting the regional settings of the pc to US. It had to do with . or , use in programs.
