View Full Version : plot 2d Paperspace views
i have been creating 2d GA's using work area views AP XM acad2004. i have one acsis object that won't hide properly when i plot. strange thing is that when i unload one of my xrefs (could be anyone) then subject object hides correctly. if i then open this dwg in native acad2008 and then plot, then the object hides correctly. is there a switch in 2004 that i need to set?

this might be a matter of making sure that the Shaded viewport section in your Plot window is set to Hidden. Also you need to make sure that the viewport is also set that was through the properties window

I always have to click this to "on" when I make a new orthographic dwg.
options->display-> "Show Sillhouettes in Wireframe"
Hope this helps!
i have checked that shade plot is active in the viewport. i see that all other objects hide ok. just this one object seems to be a nusiance. i have deleted and re-drawn it, copied another similar object that works...but still have the problem. it's like acad has a capped threshold on objects it can handle on hide, any more and it can't cope. must be a bug in 2004 as plots ok in 2008

make sure your "hidprecision" is set to 1 in AutoCAD
