Hello all,

I have no problem creating a schematic and cable block diagram for items with a one to one cable, but how are multiple cables connected to one circuit or load ? for instance if i have a motor operated valve with a power cable, and lets say 2 separate control cables how do i assosciate all 3 to the Motor? Same goes for MCC Buckets(cells/circuits).

Also does anyone here have a grasp on how to utilize terminations i am quite confused by the process.

yadda, I asked our SPI expert and they had this to say...

For SPI, I can hook up multiple cables to a set of terminals. Not sure in SPEL – I would guess there should be a way.

Another option might be to create duplicate connection points on the MOV (with the same names) and then just hook them up that way. The drawings will look right.

oy vey, i have thousands of movs and other type of equipment, trying to make this as easy as possible.

i am still waiting on a email back from intergraph too.

what do you mean when you say connection points ?

not sure yaada - I don't like her "the drawings will look right" answer too much so hopefully someone else can offer a different perspective.

i finally figured this out a while ago, you have to utilize the non power item SEQUENCE IN GROUP , and tag a group of control cables as 1,2,3,4,5,etc.
then you can controlcable.1,.2,.3,.4,.5,etc. and the right info will populate in the right macro (most of the time lol)
