Ok here is the problem. I have a few projects in the same root folder. The issue I am having is that all of the outsourced project I am getting in have the same project ID numbers. Well as we all know you can't have multi projects with the same ID number. Can someone shed some light on how to change the ID numbers. Thanks

Hello Hybrid, welcome. To change the project ID number do the following
Goto the folder in your project that contains the Access.mdb file. Open that file, right click in blank space and select "Link Tables" Then change the file extension to .dbf and browse back to the same folder that contains the Access.mdb and you will see at_proj.dbf. Select it and press the Link button. You will see it in the Access.mdb database. Double click at_proj.dbf and change the project ID and Proj_Path. Make sure you also change the project ID in the project.ini file inside your project. That should do it. There is probably an easier way but that's how I do it. Let us know your results :)

one quick question in reference to that. How will this affect 3D applications? I do not use the 3D piping but that was brought up to me by a fellow co-worker. As long as my P&ID's work, I dont really care
yeah that's a pretty good question. I wish I knew more about the 3D side of the fence. If you are moving project around and paths are changing, they will most likely have to do some path updating as well. The 3D software is really good about letting you know when things have changed or so I have heard. My direct boss is the 3D piping manager so I get to hear "UGH" and "DAAAAVVEEE!" when I start changing stuff in the project that has already been piped. :D
