Hi,

I have a query regarding Dynamic Collision Detection function in SPR.
The help document says "Dynamic collision is performed when you define an object or group of objects to set in motion through the plant. Dynamic collision detection is useful when moving equipment such as a construction crane through a plant to find a safe pathway for the move." I tried to move the Crane in the Example model provided with the SPR program. However, I can only perform a Single Step movement.

Has anyone tried using Dynamic Collision Detection in SPR and can pls share the steps on how to perform it?

you need the CONSTRUCTION module for this...

create a display set out of the crane, then right click on the new display set and check off Move. Go to Motion on the tool bar and check off the display set, you can then use the normal motion tools, but you will be controlling the display set not the eye point.

to use dynamic collision detection go to tools collision detection, create a collision set name call crane, hit apply, go the sound tab and choose a default sound, hit apply, go to the run tab and hit ok.

go to motion settings and check off detect collisions on move, in the drop down list choose your crane display set, hit apply then ok.

now as you move the crane everything it hit will turn pink and play the default sound you set, good luck, i've never had much luck with getting this very useful.

Thanks for your reply. By the way, is there any delivered person model in SP3D or SPR?

SP3D has a person's data as equipment.(Six foot worker-E)
I have created a .vue file with it.
