Check your subscription to the thread in your USER CPanel, there is a notification checkbox. Check it and you should get an email when someone posts a reply. The USER CPanel link is at the top right of the forum next to logout.

Tapatalk (http://www.tapatalk.com) is an application for your smartphone. The free version allows readonly to the forum and your PM's, the pro version $3 allows you to post and send PM's.

well that answers why I had no idea. I am still using an analog phone that is the size of a shoe box

Yeah it's pretty cool. I was browsing around on it yesterday. Pretty handy for places where you have to answer questions but don't have your laptop handy.
