View Full Version : Can See Autoplant Files in Autocad 2004

Can anyone help IO'm trying to open Autoplant files in Autocad but I'm not having any luck when I open in Autocad and do a zoom extend can see anything. Do I have to do a import or any help would greatly appreciated

nvisco, have whoever sent you the file do the following:

When they open the drawing, they need to set PROXYGRAPHICS to "1" and then bind all of the xrefs into one drawing. Then they can save off the dwg, send it to you. and you should be able to see the model.

PS, they may need to open all of the xref drawings and set proxygraphics to "1" before binding them to the one file. Let me know.

make sure they copy/paste all the dwg's to the desktop BEFORE binding the xrefs. :) Might be a bit of a shock to everyone if they try to do it on live project files.

you may also need to load Object Enablers.

of course, the object enablers. Yeah do that first. :)

I just had a situation where a workaround was needed and was reading off the wrong sheet music, thanks monkey.

Ya its possible to open Autoplant file in AutoCAD...wt u need is to export the drawing and change the profile from APPID to ACAD.:)
