They use to be called "reboids", special Rebis generated objects as they are not true solids. As Aplant Monkey stated, without them loaded, all you will see are some dots...

Has anyone had any issues with rendering autoplant pipe using AutoCAD 2007. With object enablers installed the pipe is visible in 'realistic' view but when I render it only renders fittings i.e. elbows, valves and pulled bends etc but leaves all straight pipe out. Must be something to do with the fact the pipes are not true solids.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest using the COPYASACIS command in AutoPlant to create AutoCAD solids out of your AutoPlant custom objects (previously known as reboids). This will create standard ACIS solids on the current layer that will behave nicely.
