Forgive me if this is the improper section.

Anyone on here plan on attending? I will be there tuesday-friday to pick up a few classes. $495 is a steal for what will be available. Not to mention the Street party and the Nascar events.

I won't be going this year due to budget limitations and lack of anyone else in this office that knows wth to do if I leave. =/ Have fun, sounds like it'll be a pretty rewarding experience. Check your private messages by the way.

I am here right now. you are not missing too much, not too many displays, the conference ctr is half empty. some goofy games to try but that is it. Sat through a isogen class today and didn't even have a computer to try things out. Guess I better take better notes.

Hey Brian, sounds like a rough start, how did your class turn out? How would you rate it overall so far? Are you learning a lot?

edit: I really need to check the dates of the conference before commenting anymore. sheesh

so far I would have to say not too bad. sat through 2 classes so far, both needed to have computers for the students and did not, but we made it through that. Isogen was good then Aplant Admin this morning. Both had good learning points but without sounding wrong they were geared for more of a beginers level. I would have prefered more advanced info. maybe they need to break these down into separate courses. one for beginers and then another for advanced.

thanks for the update Brian! Hey man, could you shamelessly plug the site here to all the newbs? :D

not only have I been plugging this web page but I have made a point of telling the Bentley guys that they should have a hard look at this page so they can get some pointers. More knowledge here on this site than at Bentley's.

Just got out of a PID class for users. I only wanted to go to see how they taught it, unfortuantely I could hardly stay awake as it was way too slow and again NO computers for the users to learn from. Hard to learn from watching someone on a screen. They really have to address this for next year.

Awesome Brian, thanks for the update AND letting the people know about the site, I really appreciate it! I hope they find it as valuable as we do. The bentley people forget that the users are thier beta testers and need access to as much information as possible. Bummer to hear about the lack of computer availability though.

Reading your comments made me check monkeys comments from last years conference, poor training seems to be a conference theme.

I wouldn't say it's poor training, but lack of resources. They don't have autocad licences, so they can only show what their software does on their laptops etc. The user doesn't get to try and play with it to learn.

I never had high hopes because I was prewarned by Brian and others about what to expect.
