Kinda quiet around here lately...

Why did Bentley remove the revision information from the pid-sup.lsp file?

And does anyone have any more information or pointers on upgrading to XM? I installed it on a spare machine the other day and copied a project to see if it would work "out of the box". Everything seemed to be working okay until I CATTed on an instrument - it popped up with an error: "Invoked returned 'type mismatch' ". I went into Project Administrator and ran an integrity check, then upgraded the project from the results. Everything seems to work now. I actually don't see too much different, but I haven't done too much with it yet.

So what is one of the best "new" features of XM? Are there some nice administrative tools?

According to the trainers at the BE Conference, you have to do an Integrity check on all upgraded projects before working on them. With the new revision, new tables get added, some deleted etc. This fixes all of that before you continue working.

Thanks for the information. Has Bentley come out with a "What's changed and here's how to migrate" document that ANYONE has seen?

A quick update on this: While I was dealing with the support system at Bentley, they sent me a 7 page document titled "AutoPLANT P&IW XM Edition - Project Upgrade", which details 'how to upgrade a v16, v8.1 or 8.6 version project to XM Edition format."

Unfortunately, I'm not going to upload it at this time, as I do not have permission from Bentley (didn't ask, actually) to do so, but I just wanted you to know that there is such a document. I recommend you ask your favourite Bentley support person for a copy.
