Hey guys,
I need to create a custom isometric template for our project. At the moment we are using the standard template from Isogen which Project Administrator says is located here...\config\iso\template\isotmpl.dwg but when I open "isotmpl.dwg" it seems to be a blank drawing. All I need to do (I think) is add our company details as well as the client's and perhaps add some other notes (i.e. I don't think I have to mess around with the attributes).
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance B)

if you place a title block in your Final folder that you want to be used in every iso then suppress the out of box version within the OPL file under switch 18. you will then also need to assign the location on the new t-block location within the isogen.fls file located in your final folder under the isogen %PROJECT_ROOT%\Config\isogen\final
in your fls file you need to be sure this is assigned
DRAWING-FRAME %PROJECT_ROOT%\Config\isogen\FINAL\final.dwg

Thanks for your help!
Is it possible to modify the standard template drawing (isotmpl.dwg) or do I need to create my own one? If yes, how do I get hold of it?

ISOGEN and AP Isometrics are not the same animal.. Are you wanting to draw your isometrics manually or are you using ISOGEN to extract them from a piping model?
The isotmpl.dwg is for the AP isometrics, aka "Hand Drawn" and is in "yourproject"/config/iso/template/
the ISOGEN title block for style FINAL will becalled as "yourproject"/config/isogen/final/FINAL.DWG
I'm pretty sure you can modify either to suit your needs..

We are using isogen to extract from a piping model. When I open Final.dwg its not a title block but a few lines drawn to look like an "@" symbol!. [edit can't upload screenshots mspaint has been removed from my pc!]

if you are unable to modify for whatever reasons just over write the existing one with one that suits your needs. Be sure to save it as a 2004 version or earlier though as Isogen does not recognize the latest releases.

Thanks for the help guys. The "@" symbol was drawn by my collegue as a test to see if it would come out on the iso!!! :) and it doesn't!
Once again, time is against us, so we are going to superimpose into our existing extracted iso's a block with the missing information. That way we don't have to worry about any discrepencies that re-running every already issued iso might cause and upset our quality dept :)
A quick fix but but it should do us!

You will have to insert your titleblock, be sure to save as a 2000 version drawing..

unless you suppress the default one in the OPL file under switch 18 you will not be able to use the one from the final folder
