Hey,
I have an Autoplant model here that, for some reason, is now 133mb (the mdb is 902kb) even after I clean & purge it but it should be about 6mb? I used to know how to fix this but I can't remember how to!
Help please!

I have seen this before as well, normally it has to do with an attached Steel drawing, have a look at this thread

Thanks!
I had a look at that link and followed the solutions but nothing has changed :( I too don't have any structural model's xref'd but I had an Autocad Inventor model xref'd which is probably the cause. My model is now up to 210 mb!

Having put files called "pschkdwg" & "ps_checkdwg" in C:\ and detaching all xres, cleaning the db, purging, saving, closing & reopening it goes to 59mb. An improvement but still quite high!

Back up at 249mb today! Even after repeating the steps to remedy it in #4 above!

I wish I had an answer for you that could help. Sorry but all I can say (and I hate saying this) is to contact Bentley's TSG and submit a ticket for them to look at it.
Good luck

Did you try loading structural and then purging? Another option might be to PXF the model out then import into a clean file.
Good Luck!

Forgot to mention earlier we don't have that module of AutoPLANT installed (I presume it costs extra). All our steelwork was done in AutoCAD Inventor and its definetly the culprit. I'm going to find out if we can purge the inventor drawing before its exported as a dwg. I think in the past we used PXF the model out to solve this...i'll give that a go and report back. I can't remember how to PXF it out though!? :)

load the import/export module and it is in there.
Cheers
