DESCRIPTION:

We're looking for a Mechanical Designer with AutoPlant experience who will focus heavily on P&ID's and who will also be responsible for:


• Creating and maintaining piping specs, catalogs, model unique parts and assemblies.
• Preparing complex scaled design drawings and layouts, work closely with the project engineer and manager and recommend design changes as deemed necessary
• Checking vendor design drawings for major equipment against purchase specifications
• Preparing equipment and material requisitions as related to responsibilities
• Performing basic calculations, such as material requirements, etc, with engineering guidance
• Participating in and/or provide technical assistance on equipment start-up operations, and on solutions to maintenance problems which are within their area of responsibility
• Maintaining drawing files, catalog files, equipment files and instruction books
• Updating existing drawings to reflect modifications and improvements to existing systems
• Maintaining reproducing equipment and other equipment and supplies
• Checking and revising drawings as needed.
• Completing assignments in a neat, accurate and professional manner


BACKGROUND:

The ideal candidate will have:


• Strong Mechanical Design experience.
• Good working experience with AutoPlant P&ID is a must.
• Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and P&ID is a big plus.
• Experience creating structural drawings, equipment arrangement drawings, piping drawings, all in 2d and 3d.
