Hi there,

Just a quick introduction, I’m Ben, 20, UK. Just finished my final year as an apprentice instrument and control designer and just as I am qualified I am finding myself falling into a SPPID role with a push into administration.

However a few things are currently standing in my way!
1. No SQL/Oracle background
2. ££££!

I am just enroling on an 'introductory' SQL course before I look for something more in depth.

I am also spending some time with our current, very knowledgeable from all accounts, SPPID administrator.

I found the forum when I was 'googling' some problems, which I have subsequently solved!

I was just wondering if I could get some advice on the best training to undertake to become as competent as possible.
And if anyone knew of any good (free) online resources for SQL/Oracle to get a good background from, I am looking but recommendations would be appreciated.

Also I was looking for the best tips to be the most efficient in terms of designing with SPPID.

Thanks.
