View Full Version : When will P&ID support AutoCAD 2006?

We just received the message here that we must install AutoCAD 2006 within the next few weeks and I noticed this post. Can you provide any assistance regarding this issue?

Hi Heinz. I should note that I am in no way affiliated with bentley.

That being said, it is my understanding that the latest release of Autoplant will have full support for AutoCAD 2006 but only for the 3D package not P&ID.

There is also this post from the official bentley forum from 25DEC05.

"Bentley just released the much-awaited AutoPLANT SELECT Release 2. This update features many corrections and enhancements including full support for AutoCAD 2006. SELECT Subscribers can download this version immediately. No need to update your existing specs or projects in order to use this new version . The executable can be installed on a new workstation or directly over an existing install."

Thank you for the info. But exactly when will 2d Schematics and P&ID work with AutoCAD 2006. I thought I heard of some kind of patch for this or when a new release will be available?

It is my understanding they have a file with some documentation you have to do to make it work. Its not an officially released patch so you'll have to contact support to get the file. Hope this helps you.

check the downloads at http://appsnet.bentley.com/MYSELECTCD/SearchResults.aspx,

all AutoPLANT modules support AutoCAD 2006, but not yet 2007 ...

If you are speaking of AutoPLANT 3D software then bentley released it, in Dec of 2005 that fully supports AutoCAD 2006:

Bentley AutoPLANT Plant Design 2004 Edition Version 08.06.01.06

It is available for free download at Bentley Select Services Online website.

All of the bentley modules are supported in Acad 2006. :)

this message is from november 2005 and comes from a discussion forum. Better check the Bentley site itself for this kind of info. You can also subscribe to newsletters that inform you about new versions and patches.
