Custom Catalog please help

Hi,

I am not sure if the title is right but I need to start somewhere.

I have been asked to create one 2" check valves (Lift Disk) BW 1500lb and one 2" Check Valve (Lift Disk) RTJ 1500lb. Also a 2" 1500lb RTJ Double Block and Bleed valve that will be a specialty item.

With all the items above I cannot find any items in any of our catalogs that meet the Comp_len from the datasheet.

What is the best way to create these items so that the designer can pick them in his model.

you are close, I myself create a new catalog from one that has the components I'm looking to create. then I copy paste the component that comes the closest and update the fields to match what I need. I build the catalog. I will also give it a different short description. then after adding the new catalog to the spec. I can filter with the short description or the new catalog name allowing for selection of only the new components.

After pulling my hair out for several hours I finally figured out how to do it. It then became one of those "DUH" moments. Thanks for all your help.
