Is anyone using Plantspace. My company is purchasing plantspace as our piping program. I can not find anything on this program. I see autoplant and plant 3d.

Doing this in today's day and age is insane. While you're at it, your company should make a huge investment in VHS tapes tomorrow as it's pretty much the same thing. Plantspace is old, outdated, unsupported, DEAD software. How could your company even consider it?!?!
Go with AutoCAD Plant 3D as it will be the mid range standard within a few releases from today OR if you're looking for something with a little more "kick" then invest in Smartplant
edit: If none of those options are possible, I would start trying to find myself a new job. No one is going to hire a piper that has Plantspace as the last 2+ years of exp. on their CSV. I am completely serious.

Thanks for the input. I think openplant is too expensive for the few seats we require. Besides it seems that documentation and training are limited.

I fully agree with sppider here. How can your company even think of using Plantspace? How Bentley even thought of selling it ?
I think you should talk with management again to check options and not just consider immediate costs but overall picture.
There are better products out there with some future. Check CADWorks, AutoCAD Plant, Aveva PDMS. SP3D is no no if you are small company with limited staff and budget.

Our sales rep says it is exactly like Autoplant except on XM instead of autocad. Does anyone know if that is true? Also, we have to have MJ and socket PVC fittings. Does plantspace have those specs/catalogs?

Anytime a sales person tells me something is exactly like something else...I run. Having a bit of each (more Autoplant than Plantspace) under my belt, I am able to tell you that they are in terms of both usability and functionality, indeed and in fact quite different. Without going too far I can safely say that even with all it's faults, Autoplant is vastly superior to Plantspace.
@sppider - that's hilarious!

I think there are some who would advise you to rethink CADWorx as an option. Despite Ingr's assurance that it is a viable, supported product, there are rumblings of discontinuation in the not too distant future. /rumor mill

@Dave , Yes that concern with CADWorks is true. But I thought INGR had positioned CADWorks for small-mid segment where SmartPlant suite could be too much for cutomers.
But you never know what this big management thinks. I will give it atleast 2-3 years before winding up.
